  • Time to pay club dues

If your club has not paid annual member dues, now is the time! The good news: It’s a very easy process. The club advisor simply goes to the Membership Update Center to update the club membership and pay dues. If you are unfamiliar with this process, watch this video to get started.  Then follow the instructions on the Aktion Club website. Remember, Kiwanis International does not send invoices. So go online and do your dues. It’s easy!

  • Holiday service with a smile

Every month, the KSI/Milford Aktion Club in the Capital district has a signature service project. And each December, club members take part in a time-honored tradition: ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. This year, club members volunteered to collect donations for the organization outside their local Wal-Mart.

The relationship with the local Salvation Army chapter creates a valuable two-way street for the Kiwanis family. For example, the chapter’s local president spoke at the Kiwanis district convention this spring!

  • Going "social"

Aktion Club has had a Facebook page for quite some time. But that’s not the only social-media outlet available. So now we’re making the most of our social media presence.

Check out all of our social media outlets. And be sure to “like” and “follow” us ... and “share” us with your friends. Spread the word!

  • It's time to submit your Trick-or-Treat Funds

It’s time to submit the funds you collected for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. Send a check or money order (made payable to the Kiwanis Children’s Fund) and your completed gift form to:

    The Eliminate Project: Campaign Office
    Kiwanis Children’s Fund
    P.O. Box 6457 - Dept #286
    Indianapolis, IN 46206 USA

    ATTN: Trick-or-Treat

Be sure to write your club name or club number on the memo line of the check.

It’s important to send your check directly to the Kiwanis Children’s Fund so we can keep track of all funds raised by Kiwanis-family clubs. This year, the Service Leadership Program goal is to raise more than US$1 million. We need help from you and your club!

Remember, clubs that raise and submit more than US$250 by December 31 will receive a special banner patch. So don’t forget to send in the funds you raise by the deadline!

  • It’s time to Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

October and Halloween are just around the corner. For Aktion Club, Halloween means more than spooky decorations, fairy-tale costumes and ghoulish treats. It is a chance to save lives and put the fun in fundraising — for less than the cost of a bag of Halloween candy. Protect a mother and her future newborns from maternal and neonatal tetanus through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.

Is your club ready to join the Kiwanis family to support The Eliminate Project? It’s easy to participate. Here are five simple steps to plan your project.
    1. 1. Pick a fundraiser. Collect funds door-to-door. Dance the night away alongside vampires and  werewolves. Host a trunk-or-treat. Enjoy an old-fashioned pumpkin pie bake off. The ideas are endless.
    2. 2. Set your goal. Estimate what you'll raise through your project then add in your expenses. This is your fundraising goal.
    3. 3. Get supplies. Do you have everything you need to host your fundraiser? Order collection boxes  through the Kiwanis family store. Consider asking for donations from local businesses or even large chain stores.
    4. 4. Promote your event. Print out Trick-or-Treat labels or make your own flier or display, letting everyone know about the upcoming event and how they can donate. Share the information with your sponsoring Kiwanis club.
    5. 5. Submit your donations. Send your donations to the Kiwanis International Foundation along with the Kiwanis-family giving form. If your club submits US$250 in donations for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF by December 31, 2016, your club will earn a banner patch.
Thank you for committing to help eliminate MNT. Visit or contact for more information.
