  • Camellia City Aktion Club volunteers at Eggstravaganza

In Lacombe, Louisiana, John Davis Park was the place to be on April 4. That was site of the Easter Eggstravaganza. And it was an event the Camellia City Aktion Club helped make a great success for the community.

Club members joined other volunteers who put together a fun-filled day for the young and young at heart.  Activities included an Easter Egg Hunt and contests for Easter hats, bonnets and baskets. Other activities included storytelling, games, a picture booth and a “cupcake walk.”

As volunteers, Aktion Club members also made the event their way of participating in Kiwanis One Day—the worldwide day of service for all members of the Kiwanis family. Thanks and kudos to the Camellia City Aktion Club, and to the sponsors of the Eggstravaganza: the St. Tammany Parish Recreation District 4, the Village Lutheran Church, Sacred Heart Church,  Councilmen Jake Groby and Steve Stefancik.
