Is your club looking for support? Think about businesses, government agencies, individuals and nonprofit organizations that could partner with your club for service and club activities. These organizations might benefit from having a relationship with Aktion Club!
Here’s what to consider:
- Businesses can donate supplies for club activities, such as art supplies for posters or toiletries for hygiene bags for homeless shelters. They can serve as a location where items are purchased and donated, such as grocery stores that gather items for food drives. Restaurants can partner for a fundraiser, such as a “dine and donate night” during which a percentage of revenue goes to your club.
- Government agencies and officials are great resources too. Members can offer to clean up or help patrons at public parks, libraries or historical sites. Elected or appointed officials can be great proponents for providing clubs with access to public spaces or advocating for your club.
- Don’t forget that individuals are often the first to support clubs! Many community members—along with friends and family — offer time, talents and treasure.
- Naturally, clubs often work with nonprofit organizations to receive donations or items. Nonprofits also offer sites for hands-on service, such as caring for animals at a local shelter or bell ringing for holiday donations.
These are all great examples of how Aktion Clubs can educate people about our mission — while teaming up to do great things for the community.
